Mackrell International’s 2019 EMEA Meeting will take place in Moscow, the capital city of Russia.

Hosted by member firm Sirota & Partners, delegates will have the opportunity to visit this historical city and network with their colleagues surrounded by years of outstanding architecture.

Moscow is the major political, economic, cultural, and scientific centre of Russia and the largest city on the entire European continent.  It has the largest growing urban economy in Europe and is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world.  It is the seat of power of the Russian Government and considered the centre of Russian culture, having served as the home of Russian artists, scientists, and sports figures and because of the presence of museums, academic and political institutions and theatres.

Moscow has one of the largest municipal economies in Europe and, as the financial centre of Russia and home to the country’s largest banks, it accounts for more than one-fifth of Russia's GDP. Moscow’s primary industries include the chemical, metallurgy, food, textile, furniture, energy production, software development and machinery industries all of which make it an excellent location for the delegates of Mackrell International’s 2019 EMEA Meeting to discuss future business opportunities.

Delegates and Accompanying Persons will start the meeting with a guided tour of the Kremlin, the site of which includes five palaces, four cathedrals and various museums making it a very interesting meeting location for both Delegates and Accompanying Persons.  Places for the Kremlin Tour are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on receipt of the delegate fees.

For Delegates the core focus of this meeting is to network with other Mackrell International Members, discuss cross-border and collaborative opportunities and to discuss and develop social media, practice group and promotional initiatives to which all members can contribute and from which all members can benefit.  The Business Agenda will combine educational and best practice sessions along with informative segments from members.

After the Kremlin Tour Accompanying Persons will have the opportunity to enjoy a free afternoon to wander through the historical and cultural area, visit the Bolshoi, peruse the goods in Moscow‘s glass-roofed original department store, Gum, dating from the late 19th century or take a tour of Moscow’s beautiful art deco metro stations. On Saturday APs will visit the iconic St. Basil’s Cathedral followed by a day at the Kolomenskoye Estate which now contains many historical buildings transported from all over Russia to be preserved here and has been designate a UNESCO World Heritage Site  - Programme

Moscow offers many wonderful tourist opportunities so plan your visit now combining the networking and business opportunities with a chance to see the rest of the city and why not combine this meeting with a visit to the magical city of St. Petersburg, just a train ride away.
