If you want to gain new clients in
the rapidly expanding Asian markets….come to Bangalore!
We will show you how.
All members are invited to attend the 2019 Mackrell International Annual General Meeting taking place in the vibrant and bustling city of Bangalore, India between 1st and 5th May 2019, hosted by member firm Murali & Co.
Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka State in India, famous as the IT Capital of India and also as the Garden City of India.
Its airport is the third fastest growing in South Asia. Companies from all over the world are doing business here from the IT, R&D, Data Analytics, pharmacy, food, design and telecom industries, a significant number of whom are leading multinational groups.
It is also the hub for the highest number of Start-ups in the world in almost all sectors and the city houses some of India’s leading educational and research institutes such as the Indian Institute of Science, the Indian Institute of Management and the National Law School.
The city is also a centre for the highest number of Medical and Engineering Colleges and
Universities in India.
This year the AGM focus will be on two things – how will your law firm look in 2025 and how can you win business in the fast developing Asian market.
Separate Africa and Asia Pacific Regional Meetings will kick-off the event during Wednesday 1st May followed by the opening of the AGM with a Welcome reception at the hotel in the evening.
The meeting will combine presentations from speakers alongside interactive discussions on the coming changes that law firms and
legal networks will experience with the introduction of new areas of law and new technology and how member firms can
collaborate to take advantage of these changes and develop strategies to
promote their combined expertise.
Part of the meeting will be dedicated to a General Counsel Round Table where
delegates will be able to hear from and interact directly with GC from Asian companies and multinationals
regarding their expectations of law firms and legal networks in coming years and how Mackrell members can take advantage of the close ties that exist with our Asian members and their clients.
The Business Development Team has carried out in-depth competitor research and the results of this will also be on the Agenda so that members can consider how Mackrell International can increase its influence and standing within the top 10 networks.
Accompanying Persons
will have two days to experience the modern and ancient, cultural and
historical side to the city with visits to temples, markets and a world
recognised Yoga retreat, sari wrapping and henna handpainting.
Saturday brings a full day excursion to Bannerghatta National Park where Delegates and Accompanying Persons will experience Lion, Tiger and Bear safaris.
Bangalore offers
many diverse and wonderful places to visit – historical, cultural, cityscape
and mountains, something for everyone.
