Mackrell International 2019 Asia Pacific Regional Meeting is a full day meeting starting on the morning of Wednesday 1st May 2019.
The 2019 Africa Regional Meeting takes place on the afternoon of Wednesday 1st May 2019.
The AGM Programme begins with Delegates and Accompanying Persons attending
the Welcome Reception and Dinner at
the Shangri-La, Bangalore on Wednesday evening.
Registration for both events opens at 8.00 am at the Shagri-La Hotel on Wednesday morning.
The Asia Pacific Regional Meeting begins at
9.30 am on Wednesday 1st May
giving delegates attending from countries across Asia the opportunity to
discuss business activities and joint ventures that have taken place during the
year and planning for the coming year.
Presentations from members and the Business Development Team will bring
delegates up to date on recent initiatives.
AGM delegates will participate in the business meetings on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May giving them the opportunity to reinforce business relationships with other members from all over the world.
This year the focus will be on two things – how will your law firm look in 2025 and how can you win business in the fast developing Asian market.
The meeting will combine presentations from speakers alongside interactive discussions on the coming changes that law firms and legal networks will experience with the introduction of new areas of law and new technology and how member firms can collaborate to take advantage of these changes and develop strategies to promote their combined expertise.
Part of the meeting will be dedicated to a General Counsel Round Table where delegates will be able to hear from and interact directly with GC from Asian companies and multinationals regarding their expectations of law firms and legal networks in coming years and how Mackrell members can take advantage of the close ties that exist with our Asian members and their clients.
The Business Development Team has carried out in-depth competitor research and the results of this will also be on the Agenda so that members can consider how Mackrell International can increase its influence and standing within the top 10 networks.
Accompanying Persons will enjoy two interesting but very different excursions. On Thursday they will have the opportunity to visit the famous Art of Living Yoga Retreat where they will enjoy a guided relaxation session through breathing, light yoga and stretching. After a healthy lunch at the retreat Accompanying Persons will have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs and gifts in Bangalore’s Commercial Street – remember to barter and bargain! Day Two for Accompanying Persons is a full day guided city tour visiting the temples built in honour of Nandi and Ganesh. This is followed by lunch at the award winning Toscana restaurant. The afternoon for the women in the group will be sari wrapping and mehndi (henna hand painting) with the men visiting the Government Museum.
The Saturday networking event for Delegates and Accompanying Persons is
a full day excursion. The day will begin
with a visit to a temple for delegates to see the ancient culture of the
region. This is followed by a visit to the Bannerghatta
National Park in search of Lions, Tigers and
Bears followed by lunch at a local Micro Brewery returning to the hotel
mid-afternoon.

Golfshire situated in the outskirts of Bangalore Saturday evening 4th
May.
Finally, new to our AGM programme, is an optional
Sunday excursion to the ancient cities of Mysore
(City of Palaces) and Melukote (Ancient Capital City) where delegates will
have a guided tour of the stunning temples and palaces and marvel at their
